Active Living facilitator training to be offered at Can-Fit-Pro Toronto 2004

Active Living Partners, a division of Human Kinetics, announces their first facilitator training workshop in Canada on August 19. The event will be held in conjunction with one of the three largest fitness conferences in the world, Can-Fit-Pro Toronto 2004.

Human Kinetics Canada recently began marketing Active Living Every Day and has received many favourable responses. The term “active living” has been a recognizable phrase in Canada for many years because of the various government programs that promote physical activity, so the Canadian audience seems especially receptive to Active Living Every Day.

Mike Bates, managing director at Human Kinetics Canada, says, “Offering our Active Living centers a training workshop close to home is a great boost to the program. The Can-Fit-Pro conference brings together the largest group of fitness and health professionals in Canada, so it’s a perfect venue in which to promote Active Living Every Day and provide training for those who want to help sedentary adults find ways to become and stay active.”

Human Kinetics Canada and Can-Fit-Pro enjoy a unique educational partnership. This alliance has given great exposure to both groups in Canada, while increasing the educational opportunities for Can-Fit-Pro members through Human Kinetics’ print and online education products. In addition, the partnership has allowed for the unique training opportunity at the conference.

The Can-Fit-Pro conference welcomes more than 6,000 delegates and visitors while the concurrent trade show features more than 900 booths. Both are dedicated to meeting the needs of fitness professionals. Can-Fit-Pro is a world leader in the certification and continuing education of group fitness instructors, personal fitness trainers, and allied health professionals.
