Featured Resource: Complete Emergency Care
Human Kinetics has partnered with the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) to create the Emergency Care program. Complete Emergency Care is a unique blend of online self-study followed by instructor-led training and competency assessment that provides a practical yet comprehensive means of obtaining certification in CPR, AED, first aid, bloodborne pathogens, and emergency oxygen. The course tailors ASHI’s nationally recognized curriculums to meet the specific needs of physical activity professionals. It is scenario based and asks participants to put themselves in the role of the rescuer. Interactive activities based on the latest treatment guidelines, including a virtual CPR activity, are present throughout the course. The course is complemented by the Complete Emergency Care text and is also available with the Family and Friends CPR Anytime Kit, which includes a small CPR manikin so that participants can practice the scenarios in the course.
If you become an Emergency Care Training Center, you can train your staff on your own time without relying on outside agencies. You’ll even have the potential to generate additional income by offering courses and certification to members of the community.
