Active Living Every Day is based on the research study Project Active, which was conducted at The Cooper Institute, and several subsequent studies that are included in Active Living Every Day, Second Edition. The extensive research shows that teaching people lifestyle skills such as realistic goal setting, identifying and addressing barriers to physical activity, and developing social support systems effectively helps people become and stay physically active.
